Chief Executive Officer (CEO) & Principal Officer Experience: Minimum 10 Years Industry: Insurance / Insurance Broking / Financial Services Reporting To: Board of Directors Role Overview The CEO & Principal Officer shall be responsible for overall management, business strategy, regulatory compliance and operations of the Insurance Broking Company in accordance with the IRDAI (Insurance Brokers) Regulations and other applicable regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities • Lead the overall business, operations and strategic growth of the Insurance Broker. • Act as the designated Principal Officer and primary senior-level interface with IRDAI. • Ensure continuous compliance with IRDAI Insurance Broker Regulations, circulars, guidelines and Code of Conduct. • Supervise insurance broking, client servicing, claims assistance and risk advisory activities. • Ensure solicitation and insurance-related activities are undertaken only through appropriately qualified personnel, wherever required. • Oversee regulatory reporting, inspections, audits, grievance handling and compliance framework. • Maintain appropriate governance, internal controls and protection of policyholder/client interests. • Report material regulatory, operational and business matters to the Board. Required Qualifications • Graduate/Postgraduate with minimum 10 years of relevant experience. The candidate must satisfy the qualification, training, examination, fit & proper and other eligibility requirements prescribed by IRDAI for appointment as Principal Officer. • Proven experience in leadership roles within insurance broking firms or MNCs • The BQP Certificate is mandatory.
